I come from Chicago, where the Old Town School of Folk Music is a major institution and adult-targeted beginner courses are extremely common. I am coming from Banjo and switching to Guitar, and want to take a group guitar class. To me, this means, a structure 4-week, 6-week or 8-week course for adult guitar beginners. I am shocked that this doesn't seem to exist here? It all seems to be 1:1 tutoring or drop in group classes that aren't ongoing. Very strange to me--am I missing something? Does this exist and does anyone have personal experience/recommendations for it?

(Please save "you can learn on your own!" or "1:1 is better anyway"--that is not my question).
