looking for a good barber for men with long hair

I've been kinda neglecting my hair for a while to the point where I only ever wear it in a bun anymore. I think I'm ready to chop like a solid third of it off, but I'm not even sure what kinda hairstyle I want, so I'd love to find a skilled barber who knows how to do damage control and who can give some actual style and care advice.

Does anyone know one that comes to mind? Would he great if they have a social media I can check out, but if not, I'm willing to trust you and roll the dice a little.

Looking for someone to tech me(an adult) to ride a bike. The Steglitz school is just too far away.

I'm in Köpenick. Couldn't find any active offers for bike riding instructions :( As mentioned, the Steglitz school is too far away for me to realistically stay consistent.

I'm a 33 year old guy. I'm willing to meet up somewhere else if Köpenick is too far away for you, but not *too* far away, I use public transportation so the practicing spot needs to be reachable in < 30 minutes by public transport from S Bahn Koepinick.

DM me with your offer, I am ready to pay a reasonable rate and make it worth your while.

Keep in mind I'm literally a total beginner. I recently sort of learned to ride an electric scooter after a lifetime of not engaging my sense of balance, but biking's pretty different

freezing marinated chicken has been one of the biggest time savers for me

i know i've been posting a lot about meal prep lately 😭 but there's honestly no hidden motive behind it. i'm just trying to make life a bit easier for students or people working long hours. if even one person picks up an idea that saves them time or money, i'll be happy.

i've been experimenting with meal prep recently and this has genuinely been one of the biggest improvements to my routine.

instead of cooking chicken from scratch every day, i buy it in bulk, cut it up, make a few different marinades, portion everything into freezer bags and freeze them flat.

the whole marination process took maybe 15-20 mins and now i've got 5 different chicken flavours (image attached) sitting in my freezer ready to go.

the night before, i move one bag to the fridge.

next day it's literally:

- heat a pan

- add a tiny bit of oil

- throw the chicken in

- cook for a few mins

while that's cooking i either make fresh rice in the rice cooker or reheat rice if i've already got some, steam some broccoli or whatever vegetables i have, and that's it.

from taking the chicken out of the fridge to having a warm meal on my plate, it takes less than 10 mins.

overall i probably spend around 2 hours a week on everything food related.

that includes:

- marinating chicken

- making 28 rotis (an indian whole wheat flatbread, similar to a tortilla) in one go and packing them into 7 foil wraps with 4 in each

- making overnight oats every morning (takes only a couple of mins)

- setting up the rice cooker whenever i need rice

if i've got a morning shift, i pack rice + chicken for work and have rotis + chicken when i'm back home.

if i've got an evening shift, i eat rotis + chicken before work and take rice + chicken for my break.

i usually end the day with quark mixed with a scoop of whey.

it sounds like a lot written down, but once you've got a system, you barely think about food during the week. you're eating warm, home-cooked meals every day without spending an hour in the kitchen after work.

thought i'd share in case it helps someone else :)

I'm organising a game evening with games I designed to get to know people beyond small talk. Anyone interested in joining? :)

I'm 34F and shy, and meetups weren't my thing, so I thought: how could I make it more fun? That's how I invented different games to get to know each other more deeply, beyond "what do you do for a living" and "where are you from."

The games are very easy to play, some are about being creative, others about guessing, or about beeing fast. All of them are different, so there's something for everyone.

If you would like to try It, we'll be playing next Saturday, 17:30 to 19:30, at a café in Neukölln. I'd appreciate a donation of at least 2€ to help me cover costs and support the organisation :)

Genuine question: why do people wear boxer shorts into the sauna?

I've noticed a few times now that some guys go into the sauna in their boxers, even when it's clearly marked as a "textilfreie Zone." Today I asked two of them why, and they said they're embarrassed to take their boxers off.

So why go to a textile-free zone then if it's too much for you?

Seems like they're just scared of being nude.

Can you recommend me lesbian bars / Cafés?

Hi there, I am from cologne. I am going to visit Berlin for the CSD later this month. I wanted to ask if there are any popular locations where lesbians are gathering? I was in SAGE Berlin and Stück, two years ago. I don’t know if it was just the wrong event, but 95% people there were gay men. 😅 Me, a female solo traveler, feel more comfy if I am under more women.

So can you maybe recommend me a few (majority) lesbian places, where I could go for coffee, a few cocktails, dancing (techno preferred)? Would appreciate that. Thanks in advance.

Looking for a swimming pool in Berlin

Hi everyone,

I'll be spending about a week in Berlin this July and I'm looking for a nice place to go swimming for an afternoon.

Originally I wanted to visit Stadtbad Neukölln because I absolutely loved its historic architecture, but I found out it's closed until August 30.

I've also been considering Badeschiff, but I'm wondering if it's become a bit too tourist-oriented. I don't mind visitors at all, but I'd rather go somewhere that locals genuinely enjoy instead of a place that's mostly a tourist attraction.

I'm not necessarily looking for a modern sports pool. I like places with character—historic architecture, interesting design, or simply a relaxed Berlin atmosphere.

Would you recommend Badeschiff, or is there another pool, lido, or swimming spot that you think is a better choice?

Thanks!

Thrifting in Berlin

Does anyone know any true thrifting spots in Berlin or even outside the city? Not curated vintage stores. I don’t want to spend more than 10€ per clothing item. I’m willing to go outside the city if it’s reachable by train/bus

looking for outlandish or embarrassing packaging

Bit of an odd one, but I need to pack a birthday present.

Does anyone have a box / packaging left over they don't need anymore that'd immediately raise an eyebrow when the gift wrap gets torn open?

A sex toy would be the obvious choice, but weapons, medical devices, I don't really care, I'm very open to creative input here.

The only firm requirement is that it needs to fit 30x20x20cm.

Oh and of course I can trade you a couple beers or a little cash or something for helping me out.

"meal prep" help :)

hey guys,

bit of a random question.

i found one other person who's interested in helping cook meals for people who are genuinely struggling, but we've hit one problem.

we both live in shared apartments, so neither of us has a kitchen where we can cook bigger batches.

does anyone know of a community kitchen, church, student space, shared kitchen, or literally any place where 2 people could cook for a couple of hours once a week?

this isn't a business or a cloud kitchen. nobody's making money from it. the meals would be completely free, whether they're going to students who are struggling or just being handed out to homeless people if there aren't any requests that week.

if anyone has any ideas or contacts, i'd really appreciate it :)
