Hi everyone, I’m having some trouble timing this BMW engine. I borrowed this tool from a friend, but I’m struggling to align the pickup rings on the camshaft adjusters. I can get one bolt in place, but the second one ends up a few millimeters off. The same issue occurs even when the pickup rings are installed (they’re not installed in the picture). It almost seems like the bolt holes on the tool are spaced slightly farther apart. The tool has been used before and worked on other cars, so I’m wondering—are there different variations of this tool? Thanks for your help!
