My sister offered to host and plan (with help from others) my bay shower. We were going to do it at her house which is great for hosting and has a huge backyard for tables etc. She showed me what her plan was for the invites and I sent her the list of people to invite. It was 40 people and I was assuming that we’d get about 20-25 people who could actually attend. Summer is busy and this was being planned a little more than a month in advance.
My sister freaked out about the number of invites and told me this has grown to something she didn’t expect and that she was no longer able to help with hosting and planning…..
A baby shower is not something I feel anyone should get stressed and worked up about so I just kind of moved on to see if I could find an affordable venue and finish planning it by myself.
I wasn’t able to find a venue for the dates we were looking at so I’m just kind of thinking to bag the whole thing. I’m a little annoyed, and selfishly thinking about the million things we could use from our registry, I’m a FTM. Do people even purchase off the registry? Do most moms just end up buying things themselves from the registry? Do I send a link if people ask about it?
