Steps outside side garage door and driveway?
We are getting very close to finalizing architectural plans on a new build. After engaging with engineers on a site plan, the architect adjusted the exterior walkway outside the garage that leads to the driveway due to the grade of the lot on this side of the house. They have added the two steps down from the side garage door and then two steps back up to the driveway from the walkway.
We planned on storing garbage cans here but the presence of steps makes that seem more difficult. Plus I just don't think it looks great to have these steps down from the garage and then right back up to the driveway. Am I crazy in thinking this looks a little silly? And struggling to understand what a fix to this could be (beyond just having a larger and more raised concrete walkway that would then not align with the yard)?
