This lipstick isnt red at all.

I ordered Mac's Roan of Arc and put it on right when I got home from work. I've only just started wearing makeup in the last 6 months and I'm so confused... This is the second time I've put on a Mac lipstick and it looked nothing like the picture. Ik lipsticks are gonna look different on different skin tones but the picture Mac has online has 4 different tones and they all look red. This doesnt look red at all on me. I still really like the color but feel like it looks kinda of purplish. I see now that the color description says "midtone plum" but why is it looking red on everyone else?

Lip Stain Suggestions

I do a full face every day for work, but on the weekends I like a more natural look, usually just mascara and a little blush. I currently use the Tartelette Tubing Mascara and Haus Labs Glassy Blush Balm Stick.

During the week I'm used to wearing MAC's MACximal Sleek Satin Lipstick but I'm looking for a lip stain for the weekend to match the natural look. I've seen peel off lip stains online and they look interesting, but I've heard mixed reviews.

I haven't tried any lip stains yet and would love some recommendations. What should I try?
