Cutting in media.

I’m sure other people feel this way too, but I really don’t like how linear self-harm is portrayed in media. It’s like, as soon as a person is “found out” or someone tells on them, they’re suddenly just “healed.” They never really show relapse, or how hard it can be to actually stop, or even those deeper feelings of not feeling good enough because of your lack of scars or fear of going deeper .I’m not saying some people don’t get better quickly, because they do. I just wish there was more diverse representation of what some recovery’s look like, especially the ups and downs, and how complicated it can be to feel like you’re okay again.

Anyway thank you for listening to my rant!

Hi guys, I’ve got an issue with boundaries. My mom will sometimes come out of nowhere and demand to see my arm and by “sometimes,” I mean multiple times a day. I get that she’s worried, but what she does makes me incredibly uncomfortable. I don’t know how to tell her to stop without making her mad. Any advice is welcome. Thank you.
