WIBAH if fiancee and I asked SIL to pay more for new driveway
Hi! My fiancee (28m) and I (28f) are building a house on my father in law to be's acreage in the fall. We've been planning this for a little under a year. Not too long ago, my SIL (24f) and her husband (32m) also decided that they want to build on the land too. They chose a little further up the hill from our location, which means the driveway that was going to be built for us has to be extended to end at their house that they plan to build next spring. Fiancee and I believe SIL and her husband should pay a little more because both couples are sharing the part of the driveway that will lead to our house, but we obviously wont use the second half that will lead to their house. Would we be assholes for proposing they contribute more due to the first half being shared?
