I'm mostly a lurker on this sub. I kind of share my views with most people here, Id say.

I do not attend congregational prayers in the local mosque and the Imam keeps on telling me to come. Today he stopped me and well, I said that it was not obligatory on me to attend the prayers in the Masjid itself. It was a communal obligation. He rather gave me the hadith about a blind man who was asked to come to the congregation if he heard the Adhaan.

This is my first time dealing openly with someone who doesn't share my views. Plus it's an Imam so that makes matters worse. Kindly help for I might/will see him again some time and he will ask.
