How do I find a suitable CPU cooling system for my PC?
I'm very new to PC building so I'm not too sure what to list, but I have a Ryzen 7 3700X 8 core processor 3.60 GHz. It's all stock and my motherboard is a MSI PRO B550M-VC.
I've had my prebuilt since 2020 and I'm fairly certain its ability to cool down my CPU is failing.
I'm monitoring the temperature 24/7. Randomly, while gaming, it'll spike to 100C from the usual 70C. It doesn't always do this however but when it spikes, my PC shuts down.
Sometimes I can catch it before it shuts down, and I close all applications and wait for the heat to go down. It does so fairly fast, it's like the cooling kicks in and the temp rapidly decreases after a few minutes of waiting.
But how can I best find a replacement for the CPU cooling system that's compatible with my PC?
