Kidney stones

Hi all,

Today i found out my boy 6 years old ginger cat has two stones in his ureter at the left kidney. Vet also found out his right kidney is smaller which means he has chronic kidney disease. His creatinine level is high (~11). At the moment we are considering whether we should do bypass but we really dont want to as the vet said the complication risk is 50%.

He is currently at the hospital undergoing medical management plan. He will be there for few days. I really hope his body will respond well to the treatments and he can flush out the stones and his level will go down.

I just need some advice whether i should decide to do bypass surgery for him. I really dont want to since the complication risk is so high.

Plus when i picked him up just now, he is still being himself, super playful, vet said he has been eating well and urinating normally.

Im so lost i dont know if i should go for surgery or hope for the medical management plan to work. Im in the waiting game now and im so so stuck and helpless.

Vet said he will not live long due to the chronic kidney disease. Im so heartbroken. He seems so fine even when i visited him just now. Please advice
