Need Help! 04’ 93 2.0T
Made a couple posts about this already. Each time the symptoms and problems slight shifted. This time it’s permanent.
2 months ago it began going into limp mode every now and then, but it wouldn’t show limp mode on the SID. Turning the car on and off or disconnecting the battery made it run normal again
Eventually it started going into this limped torque mode constantly and it was very annoying to drive
A week ago it died on me in the middle of the road,
Engine cut out INSTANTLY, lights on dash were normal, battery voltage very good, alternator brand new
Got it home by tow, started diagnosing and found a blown fuse. 30AMP fuse labeled “Main Relay” in the relay fuse box in front of the battery. Replaced it and car started right up, even was idling better in drive at red lights. Drove for a couple days, hard pulls and cruising, then it died on me again, but this time it was after a bunch of bumps in the road in Hoboken.. so I replaced the fuse, it made it 45 minutes out of the hour drive back home. And it died 8 TIMES on the last 15 minutes of the drive.
Kept diagnosing, toning wires out from the fuse box to harness, and think I found a break from Pin 30 on the ECM relay to the hot side on battery. After replacing the fuse almost 20 times, it now does not crank anymore and blows the fuse instantly upon cranking the engine. Going to try bypassing the relay entirely and running a jumper from. The pin to hot side of battery. Will update this post today.
Any help is appreciated. I need more Brains on this
