Dual 2 Week Trips - Eastern Europe and Slavic Countries
Hi All!
Hoping someone can help me with my itenary. I have 1 trip booked, and another in mind.
The first being the all too common:
Krakow - - > Prague - - > Vienna - - > Bratislava - - > Budapest
I want to know if my timings with these are okay. The total travel time I have is 2 weeks and 1 day. Unfortunately my flight to krakow arrives at night on Saturday so I miss out on that day. The plan currently is a rough draft:
Krakow (3 Nights) Saturday-Tuesday
Prague (3 Nights) Tuesday-Friday
Vienna (3 Nights) Friday-Monday
Bratislava (2 Nights) Monday-Wednesday (Arriving at night the first night to get more time in Vienna as Bratislava doesn't require too long)
Budapest (4 Nights) Wednesday - Sunday
Is this a good timeline? I haven't finalised a full plan yet of what I want to do in these places as the trip is just over a month away, but for krakow I'm interested in salt mines, castles etc.
My plan with this is just to see things, try the foods from each country, I don't drink so really just being a tourist. Is my itenary timing okay for these locations, do I need more or less time in some of these places. I know my plan is vague on what I want to do, but again I'm just doing a rough draft/blueprint kind of thing for now.
I'll likely be getting trains/buses between each to keep costs down, and staying in hostels to meet people, some friends might join me in Budapest and Vienna, and I'll have a friend to see the first night of krakow so won't be totally alone!
The 2nd plan is just a thought right now, thinking of doing a slavic type trip during summer. Starting in Croatia - - > Bosnia - - > Montenegro - - > Albania, I had thought about also doing Macedonia then finishing in Greece, but I doubt 2 weeks and 3 days is enough to enjoy all these without rushing. So I think finishing up in Albania would be enough? For this one I just want to understand best time to spend in each, as I know these are beautiful countries so want to enjoy them.
Again apologies all this might be vague, I'm more interesting in timing and not being rushed, and if a rough touristy draft can fit into a budget. Any questions or anything you want me to expand on please let me know! I'll continue planning things to do/see, will better alter around if my duration for each is enough or not.
