I have recently started my career as a Backend Developer back in Dec 2025 as an FTE. I am getting paid 8 LPA. Before that I worked for the same company as an Intern. Before that I was an SDET intern in another company

I had been given a task to develop a feature end to end (15k lines oh code) , we use springboot and mongo. The company is quite unstructured even though they received series A funding last year in June.

The feature I developed recently got pushed to main, and also got deployed. But before I could take a breath of fresh air and work on something else for a change, in the company.

New requirements are coming in, and I'm being asked to make changes to the same code again and again. I'm quite burnt out and very tired from working in the same set of files. I would love to work on something else for a change. But I don't think I'll be able to ask this to my manager.

Also, my team expects everything to be completed in a fast pace. I really want to prepare for GATE next year. I decided to take a leave today (Monday) to tackle the burn out and also prepare a bit.

The more I realise, I am starting to hate this culture and would like to learn and do a specialized job. Would love to go to a good college in India or abroad like IITs, IISc, Top NITs or Decent Abroad universities. I want to be able to give myself time everyday to prepare everyday but it's getting hard to juggle both of them. I get quite anxious and restless when a specific task at office is not complete. Which is why, I was finally happy when my feature got merged. But looks like this cycle might never end
