Continuing to build an AR9 and I’ve reached the horrible point of trying to find a Colt magazine dedicated lower. Nowhere has any in stock and there’s already limited manufacturers.

I don’t want to go with Spikes due to a lot of reported issues, and I don’t want to pay 400 dollars for an SLR lower, which leaves me griffin armament. The Mk2 lowers are sold out everywhere, and I wanted to ask how often they restock. They have a complete lower in stock, but it’s 700 dollars which I don’t want to spend unless it’s worth it. I’m looking at putting together my first AR-9 and it generally seems that foxtrot Mike is the way to go for complete uppers. I plan on pairing it with a Colt lower and using an IDL BCG, is there any issues I should expect to have?

Also can you freely replace the hand guards on FM9 uppers freely or does it have a proprietary hand guard nut (rear charger). Seeing some conflicting reports.

My final concern is that it appears the FM9 uppers come with an MP5 style tri-lug barrel. Is that normal?
