My father was on the roof of my building (69 Gold St) at the time, he witnessed everything. He was close enough that he could feel the heat from that second plane. This experience caused him to go through a downward spiral that ended up destroying him. I’ve been wanting to find photos/videos that are as close to what his point of view was, and if possible, to see him on that rooftop at the time. It’s one of the reason why I search and endlessly archive everything I can find on 9/11, I want to understand what ruined such an amazing person. His description of that day is unlike anything I’ve heard, and the consequences of this experience became horrifying for my family as he sought an escape from reality.
