So the dots didnt quite fit the mouse, since the grooves were too deep and it would be full scratching the pad.

People said to use tape as extenders (using 4 layers of tape here), and I ended up scratching it up with the exacto knife.

Works amazing, looks like shit.

Dot placement good?

As it turns out, the grooves are too deep, and the slightest press down makes the whole surface of the mouse scratch the pad.

Is this good-enough placement wise as a work-around, or should I get “extenders”?

Maybe even file down the grooves?
