Help with sloppy steering
Hello fellow boaters,
I had a new engine installed two years ago and the marina recommended me to install a hydraulic steering at the same time, so I did.
But the steering feels sloppy and I have to turn +/- 15 degrees steering angle before the engine starts turning.
This also makes the boat stear left to right at slow speed so I have to counter the boat alot to make it drive straight.
What can I do to to make the steering feel more direct and precise?
Had this problem from day one of the new install, and no I cant ask the marina for help because they are no longer in business...
Any tips or tricks ar very welcome 🙏
