Do I try again or let it die?
For context, we are both in high school, and I'll try and simply explain it.
I don't know much about her. I've never actually spoken to her in real life except for some "thank yous" and stuff. She is in one of my classes, or well, was. Timetable changes in a few weeks, so I don't know if she will be soon.
Pretty much, I saw her on my Instagram suggested. I decided to follow her because she was in my class and I thought nothing of it. She accepted my follow and followed me back. I was like Cool, and totally forgot about it. Skip two to three weeks later, I check my Instagram profile views, and it was almost 20, when before I followed her, I'd get one maybe every three months. So I was like Damn, this girl is looking into me for some reason. I decided to snap her, I don't know how I already had her added on Snap from a couple of years ago but i did so that came in handy.
We were snapping for a few weeks. It was pretty dead like shoulder shots at a max, and I decided I was going to ask her after our exam if she'd like to get to know each other since I knew nothing of her. But come the day before the exam, we were snapping like usual, then she was like, "So, are you ready for the exam?" and I was like, "Yeah I'm decently ready wbu?" I don't know, for some reason I was nervous I was going to mess it up, so I kinda killed it. I was like, "Well ima go revise some more," and when she replied I left her on delivered until the next day.
So now the exam has happened. I saw her in the hall with her friends, walked past, and completely ignored her. Now I get home and I open her snap from last night, and it was a dual snap like a selfie, and then the other side was her flashcards, and she was like, "Yeah, I'm pretty tired, I can't lie," or something like that. So I sent my message. I was like,
"Hey Name"
"I don't know much about you, and you seem interesting, and I'd like to get to know you."
Anyways, I sat there for like 30 minutes waiting, and then icl I fell asleep. When I woke up about five hours later, I had a response from her from 40 minutes before. I opened it, and I got a message like,
"Hey, sorry, but I'm locking in for exams, so I'm not looking to get to know anyone like that at the moment." So I'm like Damn, that sucks (I didn't say that to her) I replied like "fair enough gl on ur exams" and I decided just to end the streak. So that was that.
Now about a week later, I go in for my next exam. She is sitting literally in the most awkward place, since my friend was to her left and also a friend was behind her. So I'm looking over at my friends, she's looking at me, and I crack a big smile at my friend behind her since he was smiling at me, and she looks around and realizes it wasn't for her. I thought nothing of this and did my exams. Now come another week later, we both had the same exam again, but she was in a different exam room. I leave about halfway through the exam time since I completed it quickly. I get out, I go to the lunch hall, and I get my phone and stuff out of my bag. Her BFF was sitting there with another girl, and her BFF was just staring me down. I was a bit confused, so I sat down, and she continued to look at me. I sat there, and 10 minutes later, she came out from the exam, so she completed it also really fast. I can't lie, I kinda stared at her for a good 20 seconds when she walked down the hall towards me, then I caught myself and just looked down at my phone.
She sat down with her friend and didn't turn around, or from what I saw. My head was mostly in my phone anyway. I sat there by myself for like 20 to 30 more minutes. Then finally a friend came out of the exam, and I walked off with him. I came back like one to two hours later to the hall to see if my other friend was still there after the exam or if he had gone home. I went, and he was not there, but she and her BFF were still there, and the BFF was still staring. I was like, Huh, whatever. I went home and didn't really think about it because I thought the day was dead and nothing important happened. I fell asleep when I got home at like 5 PM, woke up at 12 PM the next day, checked Insta profile views, and I had 7 profile views, a crazy amount for 1 day. Either way, since the exam, I've had like one or two views per day.
And I'm like, was her excuse of revising for exams true, or was it purely out of being petty because I kinda killed her attempt to talk? And is there potential? I've been thinking about it, and exams end in a few weeks. Should I message her after exams end or what? I'm confused honestly, because I do not check the profile daily of a person I'm not interested in.
