Does you Pathfinder make a quick grinding noise on the first start of the day?
2026 Pathfinder SL. I’ve heard it ever since I got it brand new. First start of the day there is a rapid grinding noise from the engine compartment that lasts about one second. Sounds like a starter or a rapid snare drum. It happens within seconds after the vehicle is running.
Funny thing is you won’t hear it again until the next day.
I’ve seen posts on forums about it but no clear answer as to what it is.
