I can only handle eating junk

Why does everything even moderately healthy make me want to puke when I think about eating it?

Three days ago I loved steamed green beans with a little butter and some salt. Now they make me want to puke. Same with fruit and yogurt and any lean protein source I can think of. For a while black beans were great; now they’re terrible. I’m surviving on cheese, chips, cookies, and ice cream. I hate it.

I’m 8 weeks pregnant with my second, and already a lot of my clothes aren’t fitting. Like my workout clothes. I imagine it’s because I went from rarely eating dessert or junk to eating a whole sleeve of Oreos in one sitting. But they were the only thing I could get down just now, even with zofran on board.

I forgot how hard this is. (This is my second pregnancy.) I forgot how terrible I feel in the first trimester.

Please reassure me that I’ll be ok. That my weight gain won’t spiral out of control this pregnancy just because I’m eating garbage now. I know I won’t. But logic isn’t cutting through to the rest of my brain right now, and I think I need reassurance from other people who have been there/who get it.

What’s your favorite dessert or cake specific cookbook, and why? I see snacking cakes recommended a lot, but I’d love other opinions! I’m going to check out a few and buy one or two.

I realized I have lots of cookbooks but only one for desserts, and I’d love to bake more. I’m definitely interested in Sally’s Baking 101 and maybe a snacking cakes or snacking bakes. I really would like a cake specific one, but not necessarily as fancy or complicated as the Cake Bible seems to be.

I’d love everyone’s thoughts!
