With the Deep Desert getting a PvE instance, would you want a dedicated PvP Extraction Zone?
Still keeping a standard PvP Deep Desert for arial combat but this new zone would provide a more structured PvP environment.
It would be a ground only PvPvE extraction zone located in a new region of the Deep Desert. This area is surrounded by a permanent, massive sandstorm that prevents Ornithopter flight, forcing players into ground based gameplay.
Players enter via a safe staging hub where you can access vendors and store your vehicles since they are disabled in the zone.
To lower the barrier to entry, players can "borrow" a standard T6 starter set but borrowed gear cannot be dropped, taking up limited inventory slots.
Players can also bring their own high tier gear, giving an advantage but risking losing it all on death.
Upon death, gear takes a 20% durability hit and is dropped along with all other items and can be looted from your corpse.
To solve the inventory weight issue, this zone has T6 nodes that drop ore concentrates. These are light and can be processed back at the staging area into 100x standard ore. This makes it the premier area for T6 farming.
This zone should be the fastest way to find high level Blueprints and Mods outside of high level Testing Stations.
No personal vehicles are allowed but bikes can be rarely found in the world. Using them makes you fast but turns you into a loud, visible target.
Every 60 minutes, the surrounding storm collapses inward like a frequent Coriolis, acting as the extraction timer. The map resets, loot is randomized, and players must have extracted or they die.
This gives PvP a purpose without needing to reinvent the entire game engine, and another more intense way to farm resources and high level rewards.
