I give up so many steals and I can’t steal a bag to save my life. I don’t understand what I’m doing wrong.

This just happened to me in a game I got out of and I’ve had enough. I need to ask the experts on Reddit what the HELL I’ve been doing wrong all of these years.

Scenario #1 - his player has 99 speed, 99 steal… he’s on first… he takes 1 step… I pitchout, he steals… HE MAKES IT??? I’ve never EVER EVER EVER made it to 2nd when my opponent pitches out. NEVER once EVER. How tf did he make it to second on 1 step???

Scenario #2 - MY player has 99 speed, 99 steal… MY player is on first… I take 1 step… I steal… he throws a slow ass change up in the dirt, and I am HOSED by a mile.

Make it make sense. Please explain this to me like I am 12 I don’t understand. If my opponent has a player with 70 speed, he’s stealing 100% of the time. There’s nothing I can do to throw him out. I could have the flash on first with a 3 step lead and I’d get HOSED every single time.

How is this everyone’s preferred method? I’ve been playing since the show came to Xbox in 21, I just tried pinpoint for the first time, I couldn’t even make it through 2 innings. This is the hardest thing I’ve ever tried to do in any video game ever. I think I’d have an easier time becoming a rocket scientist. You have to be perfect with your thumb stick going out, down, up, AND back down again??? And after all of that, it still is barely more accurate than pure analog? I don’t get it. How you guys doing this so well? My shit is all red and yellow and squiggly. Genuinely impossible. Like I have to sweat my damn balls off just to trace a pitch. Might be a top 3 most difficult things I’ve ever done in life in general 😭 I didn’t see blue a single time. I wasn’t perfect at any point for any of it. I don’t get it.
