My system is corrupted, possibly due to a steam game installation issue, and its affecting performance

I have tried running Fsck both in command line and in recovery mode,

and in both i am met with this error saying that

/dev/sda2 is mounted

e2fsck: Cannot continue, aborting.

I also tried running

sudo touch /forcefsck

and rebooting the pc, didnt see anything different
