Hey all I'm buying a small van because my car just doesn't have enough space for carrying my fishing gear obviously its gonna be privately taxed but I was searching the insurance policies and am now considering I should be going for commercial insurance rather than strictly private because there's the odd time I'd be carrying a few basic tools around doing bits of jobs mainly for family members with the odd job helping friends and I noticed if I took out private insurance god forbid I was involved in an accident at a time when I was carrying a few tools there's a very high chance the insurance would be invalid as there was tools in the van. I know depending on the value of tools or trade you're in determines the cost of the insurance so I was just wondering whats the best solution for this look for the most basic commercial insurance? Explain to the insurance company that its the odd time id be carrying a few tools and its not like an everyday thing like a tradesperson. Thoughts?
