How did you know what to study? Was is something you were actually interested in?

I’m coming up on my first year taking classes at SNHU, I decided to go back to school because I love to write and I hope to be published someday but my writing isn‘t very good and so I though maybe there are things I’m missing and formal learning wouldn’t be bad. Well, with AI taking over I am far less confident than I was previously, so I’m looking into other majors, the problem is that writing is what I am passionate about. Taking creative writing classes at SNHU is what pushes me through the classes im not very interested in. Not only am I not really thrilled about other career options (at least the ones I’ve looked at briefly on the website) I don’t know if I could even push myself through something I don’t like. However, I don’t want to be in crippling debt for a degree that I won’t use.

How do you know if what you are studying is right for you? If it is something you’re not terribly interested in, how do you push through?
