PPS Parents: experience being the non-immersion kid?
We’re considering elementary school options and I’m hoping to hear experiences from parents whose kids were NOT in the immersion or special track at a school where that program is a big part of the school identity.
We visited our local school and it seemed that the immersion program was a central point of pride for the school overall, but only a portion of students actually get a spot in the language program. (My child did not.)
Wondering if that leads to any weird dynamics? Do non-immersion kids feel like onlookers when the school seems to adopt the program as a big part of its brand?
