Hi! I’d just like to ask about the quality of SAYSKY in general. I haven’t tried anything from them yet, but I’ve been eyeing a few tops — especially this one that I’m thinking of gifting to my husband for our 10th anniversary (plus a half marathon registration lol). I’d love to know if the quality is good and if you think it’s worth the price.

Running has always been a big part of our lives, but parenthood and adulthood kind of caught up with us in between. Now we’re finally trying to get back into running again, so this feels like our comeback run together. Since we’re celebrating 10 years, I kind of want to be a little extra with it too. I’m usually not very showy in public, but hey… 10 years is a feat lol.

Do you think these shirts are a bit too much?

I'm injured atm, with either a stress fracture, shin splints or a really really tight/sprained calf. I saw a physio the other week and she said it was the latter, massaged it and it every feet helped, was able to run pain free for a few days, but now it's back with a vengeance.

I was running high mileage for ages with no issue and suddenly this has come out of nowhere. it has really hit me hard mentally, and I am admittedly flipping between not wanting to let it get me down/training hard to help myself maintain fitness, and becoming so depressed I can't even watch running content on YT. I went down to watch the sub 3 runners come in at my citys marathon yesterday, and I felt great and excited, but then felt overwhelmingly sad. I am cross training and stuff but nowhere near my previous load while running, and I just don't enjoy it nearly as much.

this has happened just as I've signed up with a coach to bring my times down, and I also feel like I'm now letting him down as well.

Running is such a big part of my life, and I absolutely love the sport, but it's also really hard to be away from the routine that I've been locked into for the last few months.

how do you guys keep your spirits up and locked in during an injury?

I'm nornally a high mileage runner - injured atm with some calf pain and minor shin splints so been focussing on reducing load and just taking it easy this week, but normally hit 80+ mpw.

I always kinda feel bad about my quite unhealthy diet. Don't get me wrong, I eat a lot of nutritious food - porridge/shredded wheat after runs, bread and bagels, fruit, yogurt, veggies, probably don't eat as much whole grain carbs as I should, but alas being a morning runner I try to limit fiber with my dinner as I don't eat til late (I get home from work around 7.30/8pm). The issue is I also eat a lot of crap lol, mainly breakfast bars and chocolate. I'm lean (74kg at 6'1), and while I dont think I'm gaining weight, I do just feel bad about eating like this, and I want to focus on eating more food that will actually support my body with its training. I just find that sometimes if I don't have all those extras, I don't eat enough and I start to feel it.

how do you guys do it?
