Legacy Reborn is not it

Yeah sorry, this isn’t it.

How long can you keep kicking the can down the road until every single story just feels meaningless?

The whole point of an MMORPG is that your choices affect the consequences in-game. Regardless of what you choose in this “finale”, every outcome plays out the same way. Sahar runs away. Shae dies. The empire hates you. Jadus just dips and Malgus gets to return for season 57 of the Malgus show.

The issue is Broadsword has seemed to ignored previous storylines completely. My Sith Inquisitior literally killed the eternal emperor and is basically god of the galaxy but you want to make me believe fucking Jadus and Heta Kol are somehow a threat?

Which leads to one of the main issues in SWTOR currently which is that the villains are weak:

- Heta Kol is barely a threat and is just a joke.
- Jadus had a cameo in the IA story and then just appears out of fucking nowhere (real ‘somehow palpatine returned’ vibes) with powers that could match Tinabrae (sure buddy).
- Malgus is just Malgus but we have seen far too much of him and I would’ve appreciated this storyline letting us kill him and just wrap it up.

Also side-note, you’re telling me bitch boy Rivix betrayed me and I’m meant to find that believable and completely not shoehorned in?

I also don’t appreciate showing all the other characters in the alliance at the end. Why are they there? You’re telling me my own faction can’t even help me I just go in solo with Lana and Theron?

The only positives were in fact Lana and Theron. At least there’s some funny exchanges and quips but that’s it.

All in all this is just another tease story continuation. No stakes. No consequences. Just a bunch of characters (half of which I don’t care about because the story hasn’t encouraged me to become invested in them) goofing around. Let’s not forget the stories in previous expansion and how we got meaningful endings to everything, and since KOTET everything has been downhill.

When they had Jadus return in the previous story expansion I thought okay this could be interesting let’s see where it goes. Turns out he’s basically god and 50x more OP than my own character. What next? He gonna resurrect 2 million star destroyers like old Sheev?

Anyways rant over.

TL:DR I want to see more meaningful consequences to the story so that you feel your choices matter, not weak villains who never die and throw shit at a wall see what sticks storylines that make no narrative sense and have no payoff (and fuck Rivix).
