So I just got a "push poll" in a swing state - its f'd up

I'm answering all their stuff, then when he knew who I'd vote for he asked 3 more questions.

Does it make you less or more likely to vote for your candidate if:

You knew he wanted illegal immigrants to come and immediately get social security cards and government benefits?

You knew he was in favor of letting trans-women into girls bathrooms?

You knew he wanted to raise taxes and make the life of working class citizens harder.

My candidate DOES NOT support these things!

Of course I said I strongly agree each would increase my likelihood of voting for them, because I saw how fucked up these questions were, but if pollsters are calling people to see who their voting for and smearing their candidate with the last questions how is this not affecting the electorate by a point or two? Or more?

It's like a personal political conversation designed to denigrate your candidate via a survey.

This is so fucked up.

El-Sayed's wife does not take Medicare at her Psychiatry practice

So let me get this straight. El-sayed is a doctor, who has never practiced, his wife is a psychiatrist that doesn't accept medicare, but he is running on a platform of Medicare for all and he made 700k last year and he owns rental properties in India, the UAE and the US?

Hmm

Bring up Ossoff when you say you're worried about the DSA Hutch

You don't need to say the dsa will cause us to lose a few house seats. While true, the scope isn't scary enough to worry these short term thinking leftist apologists like Soypill and Pisco. However, if Ossoff wins the Democratic nomination for president the leftists will slaughter him, never vote for him and they will succeed in lowering the amount of people voting for him and ruin the good name of the Democrat party in the process. We could lose the presidential election in 2 years. Make them reckon with that, a concrete example.

Isn't this the guy who wants Democrats to expand the tent to include him?

He's old and balding btw, not sure why people listen to him as he larps as General Mao supporting the downfall of Democracy and western civilization.

Making Election Day a Holiday Would Decrease Mail in Voting, So Republicans Should Be For It - But They Won't Be - So It's an Optics Win and Will Get Us More Votes

Giving workers another day off is great optics and Democrat candidates should be campaigning with this message. The more people who vote the better Democrats will do, so Republicans will be against it. Spin it, Republicans are against getting another day off, easy win.

Why Destiny Should Interview More Experts He Agrees With

The common objection to Destiny interviewing experts he agrees with is that there's "nothing to talk about." He likes to argue, that's the whole thing. But this framing misses what these conversations actually accomplish for an audience, and what they could do for him.

  1. The audience learns what he hasn't said out loud.

When two knowledgeable people who agree on something talk through it properly, they surface the underlying reasoning, the evidence, the nuance, all the stuff that usually gets skipped when you already "know" you're right. Destiny might understand the conclusion, but an expert can explain the path to it in ways his audience has never heard. The disagreement doesn't have to come from him, it can come from the audience sitting at home with the wrong priors.

  1. Agreement doesn't mean he has nothing to gain.

An expert in the same lane will have different framings, different analogies, different ways of stress-testing the position. Even if they land in the same place, the route can be entirely new. That's genuinely useful, not for changing his mind, but for sharpening how he defends it. New steel-man versions of opposing arguments. Better rhetorical tools. A vocabulary he didn't have before. The conversation might not move him ideologically, but it can make him harder to move when someone actually does push back.

  1. Mutual agreement from an expert carries weight that solo assertion doesn't.

When Destiny says something, his audience is already calibrated to how confident he usually sounds. When an expert with credentials and domain-specific experience independently arrives at the same conclusion on stream, that signals something. It's not just that the position sounds more credible, it actually is, because it's survived contact with someone whose livelihood depends on getting that subject right. Consensus between two independent informed people is a meaningful data point, even if both people were already sure.

  1. It models something rare: confident people admitting others know more than them.

Part of Destiny's brand is intellectual honesty. Bringing on someone who actually specializes in a topic and genuinely deferring to them where appropriate demonstrates the thing he asks of everyone else. It doesn't require manufactured conflict to be interesting. Watching a smart generalist engage seriously with a domain expert is compelling on its own.

The argument against these conversations assumes the only value is friction. But an audience doesn't just watch to see Destiny win arguments, they watch to learn, to feel more confident in what they already believe, and occasionally to update. Interviews with experts he agrees with serve all three. The format doesn't have to be a debate to be worth watching.

Hasan is getting wrecked right now on stream. This is cinema

Don't miss the Hasan LBC episode on YouTube (edit: when the video comes out in a day on a Destiny clips channel) if you cant catch it live. LBC is the British news show.

He is literally cooking Hasan alive. This has been the best hour of stream I can remember.

Hasans talking points, the slopulism, America bad, hiding power levels and propaganda all pointed out clearly and refuted. Cinema
