Today I turned in my keys and quit my job. I was an ASM. My former SM is a tyrant and an awful person. The level of toxicity that they created in that store was something I could not and would not tolerate further. This is the happiest I’ve been since starting at that location. I wasn’t the first positioned person to quit because of this SM. I informed my DM of everything weeks ago and then again today before I left. She and I got along very well and I believe my former SM will be appropriately handled.

Know your worth! Work should NEVER be an anxiety inducing experience. Don’t let your boss bully you.

As far as I understand the company/state labor laws in the state of Illinois it goes as follows:

Any shift 3-6hours: 15 paid break
Any shift over 6 + hours: 30 min unpaid meal break & additionally two 15 min paid rest breaks.

Can anyone shed light as to why the two 15 min paid breaks additionally are NEVER offered or even brought up? I’ve worked two different locations that have not even brought it up.

How many of you had customers yesterday (Sunday the same 7th) that thought the $3.25 wallflowers were on sale both Saturday & Sunday? We had a lot…not to mention the amount of go-backs we had to do because these creatures thought $5.95 meant ALL body care.

We legit had one family come in at closing. He asked what was the $5.95 sale. We informed him of the products on sale. They walked around for 20 mins with everything but $5.95 items. Loses his shit at the register. Goes back to the sign the show us then realizes he was wrong & leaves the store empty handed.

Thanks for wasting our time AND fucking up our conversion. Dick!
