How to discuss gap year activities when you've had many gap years?

Basically the title,

There are a number of secondaries that ask to describe your activites/experiences that you engaged in during your gap years, and how they relate to your pursuing/aspirations in medicine.

But, for those who have had A LOT of gap years (5) and were coming off of COVID (most of my activities are then technically from your gap years), how do you advise we discuss all of them? Like right now, I technically have over 5 different experiences since graduating.

Thank you guys for your help in advance

**For context: I also had a personal injury that left me immobilized for the better part of a year, so even my senior year (technically a gap year), I couldn't do much.**

Hello all,

I am trying to compile my school list, and as a CA resident, I would love to go to a school in this state. However, I read that UCR SOM has a heavy regional bias.

I have close family (Aunt, Uncle, cousins) that have lived in the Inland Empire for all their lives, and we have regularly gone over to visit them. I also have a sister who attended and graduated from UCR. So I am also relatively familiar with the area.

However, I went to a different undergrad in SoCal and thus all my activites were done outside of the IE. Would this familial connection be enough to qualify me as having ties to the Inland Empire? Or are they looking for applicants to have done extensive work in the Inland Empire? If yall think I dont qualify, should I even bother attempting applying even though I am close to the median stats for everything? Thank you all!
