Live music events have been happening forever. Openers should know how long their sets are, time should be allocated for sound checks, and wiggle room in place for when things go wrong. Almost every concert I've been to had run late by 15 - 20 minutes, but 45 minutes is an absolute joke. I had an early start for work the next day and ended up leaving before they began, whereas if they were on time I would have gotten through an album's worth of songs.
