Hi everyone,
I have a balance in my US bank account from my time working as a traveling nurse. I am now back in my home country and finding it difficult to transfer the funds directly to my local account due to 2FA and international banking hurdles.
I am looking for a way to utilize this money effectively. I’ve considered using my account to help others in the US pay their bills (utilities, credit cards, etc.) in exchange for them transferring the equivalent amount to me here via a platform that works in my country.
My questions for the community:
Are there specific subreddits or "vouched" platforms where trustworthy people facilitate these kinds of exchanges?
How can I ensure I’m protected from fraud if I pay a bill for someone else?
Has anyone else used their US "Bill Pay" feature as a way to "exchange" funds with someone they trust back in the States?
I want to make sure I’m doing this safely and through the right channels. Thanks for any guidance!
