Update on my damn oil

So I took it to a new mechanic today for an oil change. My previous mechanic had the car on the dyno 3 x times to do a burn after my sensor issue which lead me to believe that the diesel was in the oil due to the forced burns.

Anyway, I told him to do an oil change and check my fuel injectors using his scanner thingy.

The scanner showed no issues anywhere, but he was insisting that it didn't really mean anything because after he changed the oil there was still white smoke coming from the exhaust so the injectors were definitely an issue. I walked out of there with the advice of "you need a new turbo and new injectors".

I'm an arrogant little thing so I took it on a 100k drive, needing to know if it was just unburnt fuel. I threw a bottle of DPF cleaner in the fuel tank, filled her up and off I went. Worse case scario RACQ would be towing me home.

After the first 50ks, I stopped for a pie and to turn around and come home.

I smoked out the carpark and finally came to terms that I would be just better off replacing the turbo and injectors and at least knowing I had a car that had new expensive bits rather than buying someone else's issues.

I finished my pie, got in and drove home.

It's gone. The white smoke is gone.

The oil level has not risen.

It's driving beautifully.

Is it fixed? Was my arrogance correct?

So I'm not going to change my own oil now because I have no idea what a sump plug is... But anyone want to throw in some advice for my 2010 D40 Thai Built?

Here's the story...

Bare with me, I'm a woman who has no idea...

I bought the old love about a month ago. Came with roadworthy and I got it cheap so bought it.

It had just had a new DPF put in and there was a check engine light on so I took it to the mechanic to do a safety check before I head off on a cross country road trip. I assumed it was the sensor.

The Dyno showed it was lacking something somewhere in the performance. Something to do with the air getting somewhere?

The mechanic blew something out and the air in or air out (whatever way it is) performance went up, but it wasn't good.

So we got the auto electrician to check it, yep, wires all good, and then we realized the hoses on the DPF were back to front so it wasn't talking to the sensor properly.

The mechanic put the hoses on right and changed the sensor and asked me to come back the next day to do a forced burn.

I drove away and black smoke was coming out and the DPF light was on, but then the smoke turned white.

I went back the next day for the forced burn on the dyno and it wouldn't do it so he told me to just drive for an hour. I took a photo of the oil level.

After about 50 minutes, the DPF light went out (yay?) but there's still heaps of white smoke when I idle or slow down.

I checked the oil today and it's significantly higher which leads me to think there's diesel in my oil.

Does anyone know what could be causing this and how I fix it?

Thank you for reading if you've managed to stay this long.

Google and AskIzzy tell me it is, but I've been trying for a week now with no results. I just get a recorded message saying the phone ques are busy, even when I call right on time (sometimes a little before).

Anyone in Brisbane been able to use the service recently?
