Daily trainer recommendation
It is time to retire my Adidas Boston 12 shoes and I am trying to decide on what I should look at to replace them.
I currently use the bostons for my daily trainer. I have a pair of Saucony endorphins speed 5 for my speed workouts, Saucony Azure for my long runs(usually only about 10-12 miles), and a pair of Saucony Truimph 23 for my recovery runs. The triumph was my distance shoe but they are reaching the end of their life and got downgraded to recovery shoes once I got the Azure.
I love the fit of Saucony shoes but the Boston just had such a great ride to it. The only thing that makes me hesitant to just get the Boston 13 is that the 12s took me almost 100 miles before they were broken in and the upper didn’t cause discomfort in the forefoot area.
Any suggestions would be great.
I am 5’9” and 155lbs. Typically my daily run is around 5 miles at a 9:00/mile pace. Normally a midfoot striker although I find my pace dictates where I strike a lot. Longer runs at slower paces start moving towards the heel and speed sessions I move to forefoot striking.
I have also considered moving the Azure to the daily and trying the mount to coast r1 for long runs as I do have a wider forefoot but don’t have anywhere to try out the mount to coast around me before I buy.
