Things are getting worse, the longer this goes on?

I'm 51 and have gone a full year w/o a period - or will have on June 15th. I'm on HRT x 3 years but am still having massive mood fluctuations. It feels like the depression should be lessening but lately it seems to be increasing again. I assume I'm rounding the bend of making the menopause transition as I will be one year with no period in just a few weeks. Does it make sense that my mood would be doing a final crash at this point?

Transition into Menopause - Major Mood shift?

I've had a ton of mood sxs during the menopausal transition - at times, it's been really hard to manage. I've coped via HRT and psychotropic medication. Essentially, I have symptoms of premenstrual dysphoria every month even though I no longer get a period. I last had a period on June 15 2025. In spite of this, I still get pretty cranky and low during what would be the luteal phase every month. It's been better overall since HRT. I suppose if I make it to June, I'm officially in menopause. But I'm still pretty symptomatic with the mood symptoms and def with migraine headache. Over the last five days, I've really gone down hill mood wise -my depression has really, really spiked. It's worse than it's been in ages. Has anyone else experienced this as they've rounded the corner to the year mark of no period? Is this just a last hurrah? Like all the estrogen that ever existed leaving my body? Is this just what the legit transition to menopause feels like? Any thoughts?
