Lone baby pup...should I be worried about him?

We have at least two adult groundhogs in widely spaced burrows. There is one that is relatively small who I haven't seen for about ten days after seeing daily for a week or so prior to that.

Today there was a baby hanging out under a tree near the smaller adult's Burrow. Wasn't eating, just sitting. He walked steadily back toward the Burrow.

I'm worried because he was alone and I haven't seen the adult lately or any other babies yet. He was fully furred, probably 7-8 inches long, mobile and seemed ok, but quite lost and uncertain-looking.

We are on 9 wooded acres (southern IN) and no reason to suspect any pest control removal of the mother. We are also quite far from the street, with the Burrow being about 100 yards from the nearest road.

Do I need to worry or do anything? I love hogs and would like to think all is well, but if not I would want to help them.
