For ages Uber have been sending emails about getting £2.50 off two train ticket bookings, finally decided to give it a go - but to my bemusement, the app seems to pull you in promising the £2.50 discount, but when you continue to the final checkout screen it with zero explanation adds £2.50 to the base ticket price, so you end up paying the normal price anyway?? Is this a bug or are they just hoping customers won’t notice …

Anyone had luck actually getting the discount to work?
