If I submit an EOI for a 189 for example, and have fewer points than needed to be eligible for an invitation, and I later update points to increase and at least match the minimum number of points that receive an invitation, will the first in, best dressed basis that the invitations for the minimum number of points are given on be in effect here?

Simply put will I receive an invite faster if I lodge an EOI as early as possible and then update the increase than someone who sent out an EOI with the minimum points before I get to update my points to be in contention for an invitation?

Sorry in advance if this doesn’t make much sense, given that the invites on points are extremely tight, just trying to figure out my best approach.
