Having a blast so far, but I’m getting release Mauga flashbacks with this one.

After seeing this season’s patch notes, I know a lot of us are disappointed yet again, but it left me wondering something about my fellow Widow players. why do you play her? Her comics or MCU character? Her kit?

For me, it’s the challenge. The thrill of protecting your supps from a dive. The joy of flicking an enemy from across the map. The excitement of doming an ulting Punisher/Daredevil/Star-Lord. Picking Widow and having someone on your team complain, only to see them apologize when you get MVP and the scoreboard shows your hard work.

I know she’s due for bug fixes and a baseline buff of some sort, but I know that a lot of us have spent so much time mastering her that when we finally get it, we’re gonna dominate even harder. It’ll be like taking training weights off.

So I’ll keep improving, enjoying Widow, and waiting for our time to shine. I know it’s been a tough year with being the face of throwing, the constant shafting for skins, and the Zazza incident, but we Widow mains are more resilient because of it. For those of you thinking about quitting, I urge you to take a moment to consider why you picked up the rifle and batons to begin with. Now if you’ll excuse me, I need to go ruin a Spidey’s day by stunning him out of his ult. Stay strong, brothers and sisters.
