As you all know widow is getting a rework and she’ll possibly become mainstream so let’s see who was here through all the drama, all the misery and all the bs

just heard widow is getting reworked into ashe idk how i feel about it cause i love the sniper part of her kit that’s the only reason i play widow i feel like she didnt need a rework and could’ve just added a new ability and fix all the bugs but i guess we’ll see once it drops

Why just why they did this to widow

No one asked for whatever the hell is that in the suggested combo in her kit showcase in the game

Hot take: Not enough people understand that Widow is an all in one sniper character. By this I mean she fits into every category of DPS. Her base design is a hitscan poke DPS. But on top of this, she's an anti-dive due to her kick and a dive due to her sprint and leap because she's meant to more focus the enemies back line and push their ults out. She's a tank buster due to how much dmg she can put out against tanks, especially with headshots, most noticeable on Devil Dino out of any other tank due to his large head hitbox. But still, while she gets easily countered, she's surprisingly op when you have the game sense and aim to back her up and use her to her fullest extent. IDC what people say, she has to stay a DPS because she's an assassin and it's her job to do dmg. Stop suggesting to turn her into a support because of her teamup with Phoenix which makes her WEAKER than she already is.

Side note: If they do rework Widow, just make her batons decorative and replace them in her kit with either dual pistols (like seen in the MCU), dual uzis like seen in the concept art, or her widow bites aka her gauntlets (which are way more iconic). On top of this, remove her stamina and increase her jump hight when she leaps. Please let her do 250 DMG per head shot because with how quickly other heroes can take you out, her at least doing this much dmg isn't a huge deal! And give her a passive whether it be silent steps for when you sprint, or a tracking shot she can use on the enemy team for every shot landed for 5 secs or just one enemy at a time, either or idc.

While I understand a lot of us love her as a sniper and we're assuming it'll stay that way, we can't deny that having more people playing her would be nice. Which is why it would be good to give her a secondary weapon option whether it be a burst rifle (someone on yt suggested this), dual pistols, dual uzis, or even her widow bites, but sometimes to act as a spray and prey kind of weapon would allow people who love her character but not the sniper aspect of her kit to still play her in a way that they feel is more comic accurate due to the fact that she is an assassin. And I personally think it would allow her player base to have a healthy balance. Those of us who want to main her as a sniper and those who want to be more up close and personal like a true assassin. On top of this, it would give those of us that will main her as a sniper a more viable option to deal with when we get dived or if we dive the enemies back line
