T mobile scam
I went last month to the T mobile store by Baskin robins on the south side. I had Xfinity and was interested in better coverage.
The lady in the store told me that I’d get $900 credit for trade in of my old iPhone 13pro and that would get me a new iPhone 17 pro. Well. One month later I finally get access to my account and I owe $1099 on the new iPhone. They only gave me $150 credit on the trade in.
To top it off, she said I’d get basic Netflix free with my new plan. I figured that $30 would offset my phone bill a bit. So, cool right. Make the switch to t mobile.
No Netflix included.
My bill is 2x what it was.
When I looked back at the paperwork today. She had stuck 2 post its with my account number and PIN strategically over where it said I was financing $1099 for the new phone.
Classic bait and switch. Now what a pain in the ass to go back to Xfinity. Try to get a different phone. I’m not going to do anything else about it besides complain on Reddit and hopefully keep some of you from getting the wool pulled over your eyes.
It’s probably standard operating procedure for T-Mobile. Not a good start to a long term business relationship with a cell service provider.
