So, there's something I'm curious about.
How common is it here to say "I'm seriously considering buying this game that I'd never normally play just to romance a character"?
I've heard a lot about Baldur's gate over the past couple years, but zero interest kept me from really paying attention to it. But a few weeks ago I decided to go through the playlists of a YouTuber I watch to find something new of hers to watch. I saw an old playlist for Baldur's Gate 3 and thought 'why not'. Her commentary was so funny that I watched it again a week later. After that I started getting a bunch of the stuff for the game in my recommendations. Since I didn't have an interest in playing it myself, but liked the characters and thought the world was cool, I decided to watch them.
Despite enjoying the stuff I was learning, still no interest. But then I started watching romance and regular dialogue for the characters. There was one that I started watching more of, and I just thought 'I love them and would love to romance them myself'.
I love fantasy, but I don't like blood or gore, and I'm not interested in sex scenes. But, this character is making me really consider leaving my cozy game comfort zone.
