debating on senior - dual,ap,flvs stats
Hey everyone, I’m a Florida resident trying to finalize my senior schedule and wanted some advice. My top schools right now are UF and FSU, and I’m trying to balance rigor with my GPA.
Right now, I’m debating between taking AP Stats at my high school or dual enrolling in statistics and then using the extra period to take AP Euro. If I take AP Euro, I would graduate with 13 APs total.
The thing is, if I dual enroll stats, I still kind of want to self-study/pay for the AP Stats exam just to have the AP credit too, but I’m not sure if that’s worth it since it feels like I’d basically be doing the same class twice.
Another issue is that my school keeps saying it “looks bad” for college admissions if you dual enroll in math instead of taking the AP version at school. They also aren’t letting me do FLVS math instead, which made me wonder — does taking one FLVS math class actually look bad to colleges like UF/FSU?
For context, I will be graduating with 12-13 ap’s (depending on the route) and 10as, 2 a level Cambridge.
What would you guys do in my situation?
