Would Slaterry, Nacho and Miller be a good start even without a manager in place

Would people be happy with the following transfers regardless of if we have a manager in place or do people think we should be more ambitious and/our wait for a new manager.

I think we should be looking at signings of a higher standard and waiting for a new manager (assuming we get one) but I also think we can't afford to be too snobbish and realistically should be looking at what constitutes a good deal. Theres more than likely gonna be a clear out, we know Nacho can do a job and I'm pretty certain the other 2 could as well. Not saying any would be starters but good squad players with minimum expenditure.

Slattery on a free

Nacho heavily bonus/insetivised 12 month deal with further year triggered if he reaches certain targets

Calvin Miller 1.2 million plus throw in Scotland cap, European appearances clauses to sweeten the deal. Would also be worth every penny alone just to snatch him from under Delboys nose

The narrative around Saturdays game is clear and its highlighted the real toxic element of Scottish football.

Its not often I feel sympathy for any referee let alone Don Robertson, but when you have Ally McCoist repeatedly saying the word cheating on national radio, when you have an official statement from the hearts foundation who own the club coming out and basically saying "everyone is watching, you know what happened on Wednesday we hope you get it right on Saturday, be an awful shame if you got it wrong, remember everyones watching". When even Mr. pius himself Gary Liniker is outraged one thing is clear.

There is the most blatant effort to put undue pressure on the officials for Saturday. Wheter or not you think John Beaton got the decision right is one thing, but its completely irrelevant to Saturday. Unless of course you want to make this match as impossible as you possibly can to referee, to whip up outrage before a whistle has even been blown and to make the story regardless of the result on Saturday that Hearts have either bravely won the league or have been robbed of what is rightfully theirs and that they are the moral victors.

In reality all it will do is make it even sweeter. The odds are against Celtic we need to win, we've clawed it back, and everyone is against us. And I fucking love it.

Anyone else sick of new jerseys every season.

To be honest not giving the club another penny at the moment but am fed up of new jerseys every season. Its just a money racket. They're so expensive now. Trends don't change that quickly so they're always so similar to the last one, that added to the fact they're only one season makes them forgetable and less iconic.

Ideally each home and away jersey should get 2 seasons. If they want a new jersey each year they can change them on alternate years and they can change the 3rd strip as often as they like.

Last time we had the same jersey was Nike between 2013-2015. It'll never happen again but I say bring it back.

Am I losing my mind or does anyone else remember Howard from the Halifax add presenting celtic with the league trophy.

I have a vivid memory of Howard presenting celtic with the league trophy in the 2000s. The SPL were sponsored by bank of Scotland back then. Who were owned by Halifax. But I can find no record of this ever occurring. Was it just a fever dream.

I mean Santa definitely brought out the league trophy after we booed him. So stranger things have definitely happened.

Insufficient evidence.

Apparently a video of the ball hitting his arm and then him scoring is insufficient evidence.

Clears that up then

Theres a very good chance that Ox is the only January recruit who plays any meaningful role in the run in. Granted Araujo would have started yesterday if not injured and would likely have played a big role. Arthur will likely be reduced to injury cover and is unlikely to play mutch.

As for the rest, Adamu and Mvuka are unlikely to make match day squads. Čančara is now 3rd choice striker and is now also unlikely to make match day squads, and may even find himself behind Osmand by the end of the season.

I know Celtics recruitment being awful is hardly a hot take but as we go into the final push. Not one January signing is in our best XI. Two, most people have probably already forgotten exist and another we're unlikely to see much, if any of.

Ox is on a short term deal and has played his part, but who knows what he really has left in the tank and were he sees his future. The rest are loans. Araujo looks like he'd be happy to stay, and may yet join, but its likely we'll be priced out of a permanent move. Arthur has potential but again if he's here next year it would be a loan.

The rest regardless of options to buy or not have made little to no impact and should be no where near the club next season.

No short term vision, no medium term vision. No long term strategy.

If we manage to win the league, to me it even further highlights the boards incompetence. Because if we can win the league after the year we've had. It shows that with even half decent recruitment, with a half decent director of football (who wouldn't have hired Nancy) we'd be streets ahead of Hearts and Rangers and on for the trebble. Even with half decent recruitment in January we'd be top.
