Act One of my slow-burn romance is now up on Inkitt. It's set in a public library in Dublin and follows Realtín and George. They had a bit of a disastrous first meeting, and now, six months later, find themselves working together.

Act One is 10 chapters covering the slow build of something neither of them is quite ready to name. Lots of tension, banter, situations verging on inappropriate for the workplace, and at least one very ill-timed phone call.

It's a proper slow burn: workplace romance meets character study, two people who are both, in different ways, afraid of the thing they want most.

If anyone is looking for something to read this weekend, I have completed Act I of my slow-burn, library set romance and would love some readers and feedback!

It's set in a Dublin public library. The two leads are Realtín, an Irish archivist with a sharp tongue and a habit of self-sabotage, and George, a newly arrived Englishman who maybe is running from something?

It's a slooooow burn, Act I is 10 chapters of tension and banter and intimicy and escalation and all that good stuff. It's probably best described as something between a workplace romance and a character study about two people who are both, in different ways, afraid of the thing they want most.
