Pop (Pup?) Art style. 11 x 14 in. Bristol Vellum paper, Acrylic marker with Metallic gel pen "Zentangle " style patterning.

For context: I'm a pet sitter and when a pet, who belongs to someone else but I've been taking care of for years, passes....well..it affects me too. These are three of the beloved dogs I list recently. Pic 1: Bijou a ling haired Chihuahua, pic 2: Sadie, a small dog mixed breed, Pic 3: Josie, a French Bulldog. These are memorial pieces. Im now doing art in the same style for living pets. Also working on cats and fish.

These were Memorial pieces made for a client who's beloved pets passed recently 😭 I loved those dogs very much and miss them terribly. 💔 Since I struggle horribly with Realism as an artist, I decided I could capture their energy better if I tried a more Pop Art style. I was ecstatic when my clients loved them!! 🥰🥰🥰

My two latest projects. These are memorial pieces for one if my clients. The first one is Sadie a mixed breed dog that passed last year, the Second is Josie a French Bulldog that passed two months ago. I loved those dogs very much but had convinced myself I couldn't draw dogs. But these were done in a pop art style and I added the Zentangle inspired spirals in the background. My clients loved them!!

For context: these are the first pieces I've been able to do in months. Life got very hard for a long time. So I'm happy to report, that my artist block is dissolved, life had calmed down, and yes, I can draw dogs!!
