A counselor is claiming that he can get me a CSE seat at Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology (MAIT), Delhi by paying a ₹5 lakh donation. He says the donation has to be paid in cash.

Has anyone here actually taken admission to MAIT through the management quota? Is a ₹5 lakh donation normal, or does this sound like a scam?

Also, is it safe to pay cash to a counselor instead of directly to the college? If anyone has firsthand experience with MAIT management quota admissions, please share your advice.
