Hi guys,

I am using a Macbook pro 2019 model with an intel i9 chip. 16 GB ram and 1 TB ssd.

It was working fine, but recently(like around 1 year) it started to hang a lot. I mean a lot.. Even when I use just the browser to watch YouTube video it lags when I scroll or put the video to fullscreen. After 2-3 seconds it will be fine.

I am not able to do coding or video editing which I used to do.

Has anyone faced this kind of issue? If so how did you resolve it? Will be much appreciated.

Will a deep cleaning work? may be lagging because of dust in fans or something?

I am a flutter app dev and tbh I don't use AI for vibe coding but I use it for generating boiler plate codes and explanations and has a strict rule for myself that I should understand every bit of code I write.

So, in our company they provide us Cursor access with a good limit. But, I can't use it for my personal projects because I heard that they can track how we use it. And I don't want to have a subscription as well.

I tried installing LM Studio with some coding models but my system couldn't handle it. Is there any way in which we can make use of AI to code without actually paying for it?

Any idea or a redirection is much appreciated. Thanks
